Deputy Elmir Dosaliev raised the issue of road works before the representatives of the authorities.
Ulanbek Beishenbaev, director of the city department of transport and road transport infrastructure development, reported that this year the construction of roads is planned in three areas: on Suhe-Bator Street from 7 April Street to Auezov Street, on Akhunbaev Street from Dostoevsky to Auezov, and on Duyshiev Street from Zhukeev-Pudovkin to Abdrakhmanov.
The mayor of the capital had previously discussed with the residents of Novopavlovka, which was annexed to Bishkek, the project for Profsoyuznaya Street. This reconstruction will be part of the work to create an alternative road to Manas Airport.
According to Aibek Junushaliev, the new Profsoyuznaya Street is of great importance for the infrastructure: it is expected to help alleviate congestion in the area where the only bypass lane is unable to handle the flow of vehicles, forcing public transport drivers to seek alternative routes.
