According to experienced sport fishermen, such activity may be linked to sharp changes in weather conditions. "As soon as we arrived at the water body, drilled the holes, and settled in, the bites started literally right away — one after another. We used earthworms in combination with maggots. However, the bites were quite cautious: they could easily be missed if you got distracted from the hole," says fisherman Nikolai Radchenko.
Mostly, the catch consisted of roach, perch, and crucian carp, while pike "took" on live bait. In the end, after a few hours of fishing, the three of us caught almost five kilograms of fish," he added.
