The first "prophetic medicine" faculty in the country will open in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan made this decision as part of the Taliban's policy to adapt educational programs to strict Islamic norms.
The agency stated that the new faculty will be created to meet the needs in the field of traditional medicine within the framework of academic, educational, and research processes.
The term "prophetic medicine" includes the advice of the Prophet Muhammad, which has been compiled by theologians. The main principles involve healing through the recitation of the Quran and avoiding surgical intervention whenever possible.
