During the negotiations, the details of the public-private partnership project concerning the construction of the Makmal – Karakol railway were discussed. This agreement was signed in February 2025 and aims to develop the country's railway infrastructure, as well as create conditions for the formation of the Trans-Eurasian transport route.
It is important to note that during the discussions, special attention was paid to the implementation of modern technologies and the use of best practices in the field of railway transport. The implementation of this project is intended to improve the transport connectivity of the regions, increase the country's transit potential, and create new opportunities for economic development.
Ravshan Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, noted the strategic significance of this project for the socio-economic progress of the country and expressed full support for its implementation.
The parties confirmed their interest in continuing cooperation and agreed to work together to further promote the project.
