At the meeting of the permanent commission on economics, budget, finance, and investments held on February 3, the first deputy mayor of Bishkek, Mirlan Baigonchokov, announced plans for the city hall to purchase about 600 new buses.

As Baigonchokov noted, it is expected that these will be buses approximately 8 meters long, rather than the standard 12-meter ones. This decision is due to the narrow streets on the outskirts of the capital, where larger vehicles cannot maneuver and turn around.

Currently, the city hall is exploring possible sources of funding for this bus purchase.
