The chief architect revealed what the new tram in Bishkek will be like
He explained that the modern trams currently being developed represent a type of trackless transport known as BRT. These new units will operate on specially designated lanes that will also be accessible to other public transport.
According to the architect, as part of the new master plan, the first phase includes the construction of 28 kilometers of tram lines. Two lines will connect the area of the new stadium with the city center, passing along Jibek Jolu Avenue, Shabdan Baatyr Street, Fuchik Street, and Akhunbaev Street, as well as extending into residential areas.
A new type of public transport, the metrobus, will also appear in Bishkek.
