The President has initiated significant changes in the control system
President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree that initiates large-scale reforms in the state control of road transport. According to the new measures, decree No. 388 transfers the authority for technical inspection of vehicles from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Presidential Administration.
A key element of this reform will be the new State Center for Vehicle and Driver Registration, which will replace the existing technical center under the State Traffic Safety Department (GUOBDD).
As reported by the presidential administration, this redistribution of powers is aimed at combating corruption and creating a more transparent digital ecosystem.
The new rules took effect immediately after the official document was published.
The government plans that consolidating resources in one civil center will help normalize prices for services and improve the level of safety on the country’s roads.
