In the village of Kök-Tash, located in the ayil aimak of Sumbula in the Leilek district, local residents initiated the construction of a road to the State Natural Park "Sarkent" using the method of ashar.

According to Kalikul Kenjebayev, the chairman of the Sumbula ayil council, about 3 million soms were collected for the implementation of this initiative.
As Kalikul Kenjebayev noted, there was a road to the "Sarkent" area during Soviet times, but it was lost over time. Currently, thanks to the efforts of local residents, a new road has been laid, stretching 17 kilometers.

According to K. Kenjebayev, there is a lack of irrigation water in Kök-Tash, as well as a shortage of drinking water. It is important to bring water supply through "Sarkent," but getting there was difficult, which created challenges for demonstrating water sources to visiting officials. In this regard, local residents decided to first build the road so that government agencies could then address the water supply project.

"The implementation of this project will allow for the development of about 10,000 hectares of land. The village currently has more than 750 households, with a population of 4,137," he added.
