It was recently reported that the barriers installed along the sidewalk on this street were broken and damaged.
The contracting organization OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy" took on the repair of the damaged barriers and successfully completed the restoration work.
Currently, the barriers along the road have been fully restored, creating safe conditions for both pedestrians and drivers.
Turmush previously reported that the barriers on the sidewalk of A. Navoi Street were damaged less than a month after the construction work was completed — they were broken and partially destroyed.
According to the press service of the city administration, the cause of the damage was a collision with a vehicle. The city administration noted: "A car hit the barrier in this area. The contractors were instructed to restore it." The wide six-lane road was built by OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy," with which the city administration signed a contract for 390 million soms.
It is also worth noting that on December 8, 2025, the section of Alisher Navoi Street that intersects with Alibek Datka and Kurmanjan Datka Streets was opened after repair work was completed.
The closure of this section was aimed at its expansion, resulting in the road being increased by one lane and now having five lanes of traffic. Asphalt was laid on the sidewalks, and protective barriers were installed. The head of the Osh City Road Administration, Zhenishbek Shonoev, reported that the repair work was carried out by a joint-stock company. The exact cost estimate is still not ready.
"The preliminary cost estimate is about 20 million soms, but the final estimate has not yet been approved," noted Z. Shonoev.
Previously, the section of Alisher Navoi Street that intersects with Kurmanjan Datka and Gapar Aitieva Streets was expanded to six lanes. Thus, the section that was opened today has five lanes, while the other parts of the road remain six-lane.
