More than 8.2 million trees and shrubs planted across the Kyrgyz Republic in 2025

During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Agricultural Policy and Ecology, Minister of Natural Resources Meder Mashiev reported significant achievements in the greening of Kyrgyzstan.

According to his information, as part of the national campaign "Zhashyl Murass," and with the aim of increasing green spaces in the country, 8 million 233 thousand trees and shrubs were planted in 2025. In Bishkek, the number of planted seedlings amounted to 18 thousand 755, which is 50% higher than the figures for 2024.

Additionally, 48 thousand deciduous and coniferous trees and shrubs were grown and planted in the city nursery, contributing to the sustainable development of the capital's green infrastructure.

The minister emphasized that greening efforts will continue in the future.
