The film from Kyrgyzstan 'Red Shoes' will be shown at the film festival in Finland
Director Alina Baitokova will present her film "Red Shoes" at the international film festival in Tampere, which will take place from March 4 to 8, 2026. This information was announced by the Film Development Fund of Kyrgyzstan.

At this festival, the world premiere of the film will take place, which became a laureate of the pitching at the XI Forum of Young Cinema "Umut".

A five-year-old girl named Jamal lives with her grandmother in a village. One day she notices a woman in red shoes entering their house. Looking up, Jamal sees a very beautiful stranger who she immediately likes.
The film features actors such as Regina Talantbekova, Anara Nazarkulova, and Aisanat Edigeeva.

The Tampere Film Festival is accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) and is one of five festivals in the documentary and short film category. Along with the festivals in Oberhausen and Clermont-Ferrand, it is considered one of the most significant European events dedicated to short films. The first festival took place in 1969.
