The Story of One Family: In Kemino, a Musician Fell for a Wedding Guest and Proposed to Her
Islam shared information about his family with Turmush. The couple has been living in harmony and managing their household for 11 years. They have six children growing up in their family — two sons and four daughters. "In our district, no one has been awarded first place, but we were told that we all did well and received kind words. Each of us was given separate nominations. I urge the youth to create an exemplary family: if there is harmony, respect, and love in the home, happiness will not be long in coming," noted Islam.
Islam and Yryskul recounted how they met at a wedding in the village of Nur. Islam, being a musician, performed at weddings, and that is where they met. "I was born in 1987 in Kichi-Kemin, and Yryskul, born in 1989, is from Kara-Bulak. We realized that we liked each other, and in 2014 we got married. My wife has a wonderful character: she is cheerful and balanced, and her culinary skills are simply amazing. We respect and understand each other, and this has helped us reach where we are now. I used to be a singer, but now I am engaged in livestock farming and play in the "Borulu" team in the traditional game of ulak tartysh. We actively participate in competitions and take prize places. I also breed thoroughbred horses and hunt predators that threaten the livestock," shared Islam.
As for Yryskul, she is engaged in handicrafts and takes care of their six children. Every summer, they go to the jailoo (mountain pastures), where she makes kaymak and milks cows and mares. "Our life is filled with joy, takes place in a rural atmosphere, with clean air and fun," added Islam.
