There was also a proposal to increase pensions for the deaf due to the risk of workplace injuries

At a recent joint meeting of the parliamentary factions "Eldik" and "Ala-Too," Azamat Israilov raised an important issue regarding the social protection of people with disabilities. He addressed Edil Baysalov, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Kanat Sagynbaev, the Minister of Labor.

The deputy noted that currently, financial assistance is only provided to those who care for blind individuals from birth, while those who lose their sight later in life remain without any support. Israilov urged the Ministry of Labor to consider introducing benefits for this category of citizens.

In addition, the deputy proposed increasing pension amounts for people with hearing impairments. He pointed out that low payments force many deaf individuals to continue working, although not all workplaces are safe for them. This, he said, increases the number of workplace accidents.

Israilov expressed hope that the authorities would reconsider their approaches to social support for people with disabilities and create more dignified living conditions for them.
