At a joint meeting of the parliamentary groups "Eldik" and "Ala-Too," Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieyev reported on the difficult situation faced by the children of Kyrgyz citizens who remain in the country while their parents work abroad.

According to him, the problem of neglected children of migrants is becoming increasingly serious.

“Some children, feeling homesick for their parents, run away from home. We have also recorded cases of violence and suicides among them. Many of them are left not with relatives but with strangers or distant relatives, which leads to a lack of upbringing and, consequently, to homelessness,” Abdieyev noted.

In his speech, he emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is collaborating with the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, as well as with local authorities to address these issues.

Furthermore, Nurbek Abdieyev expressed the opinion that migrants should take their children with them when they go to work abroad to ensure they receive proper care and upbringing.
