Nazgul Shopokova, a kindergarten teacher with over 10 years of experience, shared her opinion on the issue of delayed speech development in children in an interview with a Turmush correspondent.

Currently, she works at the "Ak-Zhar Sezim" kindergarten located in the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in the upbringing and education of children.

Nazgul noted that one of the most pressing issues she faces is the delay in children's speech development. "Children really do start speaking later. In a group where the children are four years old, many still cannot clearly express their thoughts. The main reasons for this are the use of phones and televisions. Videos in different languages—Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and others—confuse the children. They do not understand which language to communicate in. Some parents give smartphones to their children to attend to their own matters, and then they are surprised that their child only started speaking in kindergarten," the teacher explained.

She emphasized the importance of developing fine motor skills, which, as is known, directly affects a child's thinking and speech. The group actively engages in developmental games, modeling activities, and other hands-on activities.

Additionally, Nazgul discussed interaction with parents, noting that some do not respond to invitations. "We continue to strive to teach children to speak and express their thoughts despite this," she added.

When comparing today's children to those who attended kindergarten ten years ago, Shopokova remarked: "Previously, children dressed themselves and communicated easily. Now it is not uncommon for children to be unable to dress without assistance."

In conclusion, the teacher urged parents to spend more time with their children and maintain communication with the kindergarten. "I ask parents to be more actively involved in the life of the kindergarten, to come to meetings, and to pay more attention to their children. The development of speech and the upbringing of a child depend on the joint efforts of parents and educators," she emphasized.
