According to them, earlier the authorities stated that the market would be relocated, and all current traders would be provided with free spaces in the new complex.
However, over the past two weeks, reports of the sale of commercial premises and trading spots have begun to appear online.
Entrepreneurs express their dissatisfaction: “We have been working here for many years, paying all taxes and fees officially. Now there are rumors about the sale of spots at the new market. We have loans and daily expenses, and the possibility of acquiring a new place is unrealistic for us. We have been trying to get information from the administration for two weeks, but we are told that nothing is known. We demand official clarifications from the authorities.”
Traders are appealing to the Bishkek city hall to clarify the official plans for relocating the market, to confirm or deny the information about the sale of trading spots, and to communicate the guarantees for current entrepreneurs.
So far, there have been no comments from the city authorities regarding this situation.
