An Exhibition of Matyó Hungarian Embroidery Opened at the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilization

At the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilization, an exhibition titled "Hungarian Matyó Embroidery — A Symbol of Traditions and Cultural Memory of the People" has opened.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, this event was organized with the active support of the Embassy of Hungary in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Center for Nomadic Civilization and the Matyó Museum located in Mezőkövesd, Hungary.

Visitors to the exhibition were able to immerse themselves in the history, aesthetics, and symbolism of Matyó embroidery, which is recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. As part of the opening, documentary films were shown, and interactive activities for schoolchildren were organized.

The event was attended by local embroidery masters, representatives of educational institutions, and residents of the area.
