According to local residents, the pensioner spent over a year gathering components that were ordered from abroad. The assembly of the airplane took place at home with the help of friends. He invested about $35,000 into this project, which was saved from his pension as well as from the sale of agricultural products and livestock.
The aircraft weighs about 250 kilograms without payload and reaches 500 kilograms with fuel. It is designed to carry three people and can ascend to an altitude of up to 4,000 meters.
Currently, Kamchybek Chotoev plans to undergo training in Bishkek to obtain a pilot's certificate and official permission to fly.
