In Parliament, a proposal was made to strengthen control over online loans for young people
Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva expressed concern about the ease with which young people obtain loans through mobile applications.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva emphasized the importance of strengthening control over online lending among youth.
She noted that currently, loans through various mobile applications are so easily accessible that young people without a stable income often use them.
“Many young people take out loans without having a steady income,” the deputy pointed out.
Kultaeva proposed to introduce a requirement for parental consent for anyone under 25 who wants to take out a loan. She also believes it is necessary to impose a ban on obtaining loans for this age group, which cannot be lifted without parental consent.
In her opinion, such measures will help protect young people from debt dependency and thoughtless financial decisions.
