Earlier, a video of the incident at the airport appeared online. The Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region reported that several passengers were detained and taken to the police following the incident.
As clarified by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, on December 22, a report was received at the Issyk-Kul District Police Department from the security service of the "Issyk-Kul" airport. It stated that some passengers of the landed flight were ignoring the rules and violating public order, causing conflict situations.
This information was recorded in the log of offenses at the Issyk-Kul District Police Department, and a preliminary investigation was initiated.
An operational investigative group from the Tamchy rural police station was dispatched to the scene, where necessary checks were conducted. During the investigation, it was established that on the night of December 21 to 22, 2025, at approximately 03:11, a plane of the "Aviatraffic" airline, flying from Moscow to Bishkek, was unable to land at the international airport "Manas" due to poor weather conditions and fog. As a result, it landed at the "Issyk-Kul" airport in the village of Tamchy.
According to the regional police, around 03:40 all 182 passengers were disembarked and placed in the "sterile" zone of the airport. However, around 04:15, some passengers began demanding re-boarding for the flight and expressed dissatisfaction, which forced the airport security service to impose temporary restrictions.
During this period, a resident of Bishkek, K.R., born in 1982, while in the "sterile" zone, intentionally threw computer equipment on the floor, damaging a computer and printer belonging to the airport.
During the further investigation, the following individuals were brought to the Tamchy rural police station and interrogated:
- K.Ch., born in 1976, a resident of the Chui region;
- A.N., born in 1984, a resident of the city of Tokmok;
- M.A., born in 1986, a resident of the Nookat district.
Currently, verification activities regarding this incident are ongoing. Based on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment of the actions of the mentioned individuals will be provided in accordance with current legislation.
