As part of a large-scale housing construction program, the government is offering its citizens the opportunity to purchase their own homes on favorable terms. This was stated by Akylbek Japarov, the former chairman of the cabinet of ministers, in a documentary film titled "Five Years - The Beginning of a New Era."
According to him, the State Mortgage Company projects provide for a preferential mortgage rate of 4 percent.
Akylbek Japarov also noted that during his trips abroad, President Sadyr Japarov communicated extensively with labor migrants. Many of them expressed a desire to return to Kyrgyzstan if they had the opportunity to purchase housing. This sentiment is shared by the youth living in the country.
“Mortgage homes with a 4 percent interest rate are being built not only in Bishkek and Osh but also in many district centers across the republic. Young people should have comfortable living conditions even in rural areas. We aim for the population to reach 10–20 million, with a noticeable improvement in the quality of life,” he emphasized.
According to the former head of the cabinet of ministers, over 60,000 apartments have already been built in the republic, allowing citizens to gradually secure housing for themselves.
He added that significant socio-economic changes, including an increase in the budget and the implementation of significant housing projects, have been made possible through the systematic and diligent work of the country's leadership, which, in turn, allows citizens to appreciate the improvement in their lives.
