At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Bolo Saginayev highlighted the issue of food security, emphasizing the sale of sweets and drinks of questionable production near educational institutions.
He expressed concern that such products, consumed by the younger generation, could negatively impact their health in the future. "We should not raise children with kidney diseases and other ailments. What is being done to prohibit the sale of such goods, are there any checks on certificates?" Saginayev asked.

In response, Deputy Minister of Health Ryspek Sydygaliev noted that by law, the placement of pavilions and kiosks is not allowed within a radius of 50 meters from schools and universities.

“However, some retail outlets continue their activities. Each product is checked for the presence of certificates. In 2025, 14,270 facilities were inspected across the country, and penalties were imposed on violators,” he added.
