During the visit, Mayor Zhenishbek Toktorbaev expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of food provided to students in the cafeteria and instructed the responsible parties to take necessary measures. He also ordered a check on the legality of the existing commercial construction on the school grounds.
Previously, city authorities informed about measures aimed at protecting the lands of educational institutions from illegal constructions.
The mayor drew attention to the mink hat worn by the guard at the entrance to the school: "Hey, you have guards in mink hats...".
There are 1,120 children studying at the "Zhetigen" school.
The mayor learned about the nearby café-bar "Kekeev," where meat is prepared, and about the black smoke that enters the school. The discussion continued with questions about the legality of allocating land for commercial construction. One of the participants pointed out that the building is improperly located.
A representative from the State Cadastre explained that the territory was originally intended for a social facility. The area of the educational institution is 2.30 hectares, while the commercial building occupies 20 acres. The decision to build the school and medical center was made in 2008-2009.
The city hall lawyer clarified that the land in question was agricultural. In 2008, a decision was made to convert it for social infrastructure needs — a school and a medical center. That same year, the plot was sold to the village council of the Nariman rural district [Kara-Suu district].
As the lawyer noted, out of the 2.5 hectares allocated for the school, 20 acres were transferred to private hands.
The director of the "Zhetigen" school confirmed that the smoke from the café is directed towards the educational institution.
The city mayor ordered the preparation of warnings, the examination of documents, and the preparation of a lawsuit. "This is a social facility; let it be moved elsewhere. The school should receive this land, as it is its territory," he emphasized.
