Medications worth 1.6 million soms will be delivered to pediatric oncology in Bishkek and Osh
Today, January 29, the Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood reported the transfer of medications for pediatric oncology in Bishkek and Osh amounting to over 1.6 million soms.
Thanks to a charity campaign held from August 15 to 30, 2025, it became possible to raise funds. This initiative involved Patrick Meyerle from Germany and Peter Bree from the USA, who participated in one of the most challenging bike races in the world — the Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan.
During the event, Patrick and Peter dedicated their efforts to children with cancer in Kyrgyzstan and managed to raise 15,809 euros. This campaign was organized in collaboration with the charitable organization "Umai - Hilfe für Kirgistan e.V." (shortened to "Umai") and the Kyrgyz fund “Helping is Easy.”
This is already the second charity campaign in which Patrick participates as part of the “Silk Road” bike race. Last year, he managed to raise about 1 million soms, which were also transferred through the “Umai” organization to the “Helping is Easy” fund for the purchase of medications for children in Kyrgyzstan.
