Hunting experts suggest that this recording was made in Russia; however, Kyrgyz nature and sport hunting enthusiasts expressed interest in the fox's behavior: "Why is it acting this way? Is this typical for our foxes?"
Yuri Gorbenko, an experienced hunter and head of a hunting team from the Issyk-Kul region, shared his opinion:
“Judging by the deep snow and the color of the fox, it can be assumed that the video was indeed filmed in Russia. Our foxes have a different coloration, predominantly 'steppe color', although brightly colored individuals can be found in the mountains of Issyk-Kul. Nevertheless, local foxes are also known for their cunning and agility. I have often noticed that during the winter and autumn periods, they actively feed on fruits and berries, which is confirmed by the fact that their stomachs were full of apples when I caught them near the Issyk-Kul gardens.”
In winter, the fox's fur becomes particularly thick and soft, and it is during this period that it is collected, using traps or shooting the animals, and sometimes even with the help of a golden eagle.
Ecologist Alexander Sosnovsky also commented on the fox's behavior:
“Foxes are predators that eat everything they can find: from frogs to hares and pheasants. When food becomes scarce, they switch to insects and happily consume greens, fruits, and berries. Thanks to their flexibility and light build, foxes can climb to the most inaccessible places, including the branches of trees and bushes.”
