A new workshop has opened in the Jeti-Oguz district, which will be engaged in the production of polystyrene concrete. This information was announced by representatives of the Issyk-Kul Development Fund.
According to the fund's data, an entrepreneur from the region approached in 2025 with a project that received support from the head of the district and the supervisory board. As a result, a decision was made to allocate an interest-free repayable loan of 4.5 million soms.
The allocated funds were used to purchase specialized equipment, including molds for producing polystyrene concrete, a loader, and other necessary tools. As noted by the entrepreneur, the demand for this construction material continues to grow. "Polystyrene concrete is characterized by high moisture resistance and versatility; it is actively used for walls, partitions, floor and roof insulation, as well as in monolithic construction. Its price is also affordable for the population," the press release states.
The opening of the new production facility has created 6 jobs and will also provide tax revenues to the local budget.
Note:
Polystyrene concrete is a lightweight composite concrete made from cement, water, expanded polystyrene granules, and special additives.
