
Today, the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, visited the Jalal-Abad region to inaugurate the renovated building of the Kok-Art District Electric Supply (RES).
According to the ministry, the major renovation of the building began in March 2025 and was completed in November of the same year. The updated building will accommodate 112 employees. The total cost of the project amounted to 5.7 million soms, with funding provided by the JSC "NESK".
During the opening ceremony, the minister emphasized the importance of developing the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan and reported on the implementation of several large projects. Ibraev noted that all efforts are directed towards overcoming the energy deficit.
“Our main goal is to increase the volume of generation,” he stated.
Additionally, he added that creating favorable conditions for energy workers is a key direction for the successful development of the sector, noting that the new building will provide comfortable working conditions and improve the quality of services for consumers.
At the conclusion of the event, the minister handed over keys to special equipment to the employees of the Jalal-Abad PES, aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of electricity supply to the local population.
