At a parliamentary meeting, Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu reported that the Jogorku Kenesh is receiving appeals from citizens and construction companies expressing dissatisfaction with the rising prices for housing and tariffs.
“The Ministry of Construction and Architecture sets tariffs independently, without coordinating them with the Cabinet of Ministers and the Jogorku Kenesh. This has led to an increase in the cost per square meter of housing, making it more difficult for citizens to purchase. Therefore, next week the parliamentary committee should consider this issue and prepare it for the plenary session. Public discontent on this matter is growing, and it is necessary to restore order,” emphasized the speaker.
It is worth noting that after the statement by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdana Oruntaeva regarding the high salaries of employees in subordinate institutions, reaching up to 500,000 soms, additional questions have arisen among the population. The increase in tariffs and housing prices raises serious concerns among citizens.
