Today, a national forum dedicated to the topic "Data and Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" was launched in Bishkek, timed to coincide with the International Data Protection Day. This event has become a significant platform for discussing pressing issues of personal information protection and digital security against the backdrop of the rapid growth of AI technologies and digital services.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, opened the forum, emphasizing the need to ensure reliable protection of citizens' personal data. He noted that in the context of widespread digitalization, the state must guarantee special security measures for personal information.
"Although we continue the process of digitalization, data must be reliably protected. I am concerned about the security of personal data in government databases. Protecting information in the age of digitalization requires a more serious approach than just a locked door. For example, we are converting medical records into digital format for the convenience of citizens, and the level of security in this case must be maximized," Baisalov added.
The event is attended by representatives from government institutions, the business sector, the IT industry, as well as international experts and members of civil society. Participants are sharing their reports on ways to ensure the confidentiality of personal information in the face of rapid technological advancements in AI.
