The sudden death of Serik Abiev, a veteran of the special services and a retired colonel, occurred on January 27, when he was only 54 years old. This information was disseminated by the press center of the State National Security Committee.
According to the obituary, Abiev was born in 1972. He received a higher education in "jurisprudence" from the Kyrgyz State National University named after J. Balasagyn in 1995, and shortly thereafter began his service in the national security bodies of Kyrgyzstan.
Throughout his career, he held numerous key positions in various divisions of the GKNB, including the investigative department, the department for the Naryn region, the anti-terrorism center, and the main investigative department. Additionally, Abiev worked at the GKNB Academy, served as an assistant to the chairman, and was the deputy head of the SPO of the GKNB KR.
The message states that Serik Kekenovich was awarded departmental honors and received a certificate of honor from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for his achievements in service. His colleagues will remember him as a highly professional leader, a true officer with principles and a sense of duty.
