According to Ibrahimov, it became clear at the last meeting that the director of the agency responsible for issuing driver's licenses was unable to clearly articulate his viewpoint regarding the proposed reforms.

“Representatives of driving schools from all over the country, more than a hundred people, gathered for the meeting. I was there with them, but we never waited for the director to provide clarifications on the reforms. He was invited to the Jogorku Kenesh but did not come, citing his busy schedule due to the ongoing reforms. However, the representatives of the driving schools waited for him for two hours,” the deputy said.

Ibrahimov added that, as someone who has long fought against corruption in law enforcement agencies, he sees that problems with issuing licenses arise at the intersection of the work of driving schools and government institutions. “The Ministry of Internal Affairs should apologize for the corrupt schemes that have existed for many years instead of supporting the 10-12 month training,” he noted.

The deputy also emphasized that it is wrong to close private driving schools and monopolize the training process. “Corruption in government agencies is a real problem, not the quality of training. There is a lack of understanding in society, and government agencies are perceived very negatively. If the director cannot explain the state's position, let someone else do it,” he concluded, calling for a review of the training periods in driving schools.
