During a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law and order, Omurzakov noted that citizens still have numerous complaints about the work of the courts. He pointed out the widespread dissatisfaction with the judicial system, related to corruption, the sale of decisions, and bribery.
The deputy also reminded that recently, at the president's directive, judges' salaries were increased, which he believes is a positive step. He noted that today judges receive some of the highest salaries in the country.
Addressing the candidates for the Council on Justice Affairs, Omurzakov stated that this body is responsible for making key decisions regarding judges. He added that if their nominations are approved by the Jogorku Kenesh, they will bear special responsibility for creating a fair and trustworthy judicial system.
Four candidates are vying for the Council on Justice Affairs: deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Bekmurza Ergeshov and Kubanychbek Samakov, Ulukbek Chynybaev from the president, and Almaz Aydarov from the people's kurultai.
