Kyrgyzstan will receive a loan from OPEC to support the budget

Today, January 26, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dealing with international affairs gave the green light for the ratification of the agreement with OPEC for a loan of $30 million for Kyrgyzstan. The voting took place in the second reading.

Deputy Minister of Finance Nurbek Akjolov reported that these funds will be directed to support the country's budget. The loan is provided for a period of 20 years, with a grace period of five years and an interest rate of 1.25%.

According to Akjolov, this money will be used to stimulate economic growth. In particular, the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzneftegaz" will receive funding for the modernization of its oil refinery.
