The outflow of IT specialists continues in Kyrgyzstan
At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, an important issue was discussed
In Kyrgyzstan, there is a continuing outflow of IT specialists seeking better working conditions and incomes abroad. This issue was raised by Deputy Seidbek Atambaev at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with science, education, innovative development, and information technologies, as well as issues of culture, sports, and youth.
The deputy noted that the High Technology Park is actively training specialists who leave the country for work after their education. In this regard, he inquired about what steps are being taken to retain specialists in Kyrgyzstan.
The Director of the Institution "Directorate of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic," Azis Abakirov, agreed with this opinion, noting that the problem of staff outflow is indeed relevant. He also added that at the beginning of the development of the IT sector in the country, when the High Technology Park did not yet exist, the level of outflow was significantly higher.
However, Abakirov emphasized that the situation is beginning to change for the better: international IT companies are opening offices in Kyrgyzstan, and specialists who have gained experience abroad are starting to return, bringing new knowledge and practices with them.
