According to the press service of the MES, over the past three years, thanks to new technologies, an old boat that had been at the bottom of a water body for about 30 years was raised. According to available information, this vessel was used by poachers as a kind of mine.
Currently, the boat is stored in a special location, where illegally made synthetic nets discovered over the last three to four months of 2025 are also collected and stored. Previously, such boats were cleared annually and handed over to the Ministry of Natural Resources, but now it has been decided to store them in one place for preventive measures.
The ministry notes that synthetic structures and waste cause serious harm to the environment and pollute water bodies. Over the past 10-30 years, the amount of such debris in water bodies has significantly increased, posing a threat to the ecosystem.
According to the press service, this issue is under the control of the country's leadership, and necessary measures are being taken in accordance with the instructions of the head of state.
