The BGC inquired why the new fire station in the Ak-Orgo new building was not put into operation.
As reported by Colonel Cholponbaev from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire station has been put into operation, but the staffing levels were not provided for. He noted that there is a shortage of fire stations in Bishkek, as one such station is supposed to serve a radius of 5 kilometers. Recently, as a result of the administrative-territorial reform, new facilities were added to the capital. The president approved an increase in staffing levels, and as of January 18, the ninth fire and rescue station is fully operational. Currently, there are two fire crews and the necessary equipment that is functioning at full capacity, the colonel added.
