In Chui Region, they propose to implement the method of water freezing.
As reported by the presidential representative's office in the region, at a recent meeting, it was suggested to enhance the use of winter moisture-charging irrigation using the freezing technology.
Azmat Osmonov, the presidential representative, noted that this method contributes to increased moisture accumulation in the soil, more rational use of water resources, and reduced risks of water shortages during the growing season and irrigation. He emphasized the importance of large-scale implementation of this approach, especially in areas where water resources are limited. Therefore, relevant state and local authorities were instructed to intensify explanatory work and ensure the practical application of this method.
Earlier, an inspection of the technical condition of reservoirs and basins responsible for regulating water flow was also conducted in the Chui region. During the inspection, deficiencies in the operation of hydraulic structures and problems arising from outdated infrastructure were identified. The necessity of modernizing certain elements of the water supply system was emphasized.
Following the inspection, district akims were instructed to address the identified deficiencies, modernize and upgrade reservoirs, as well as prepare cost estimates for the construction and restoration of water intake wells.
Regional authorities emphasize that the condition of water bodies has a direct impact on the stability of the agricultural sector, so these issues need to be addressed promptly and systematically. Control over the implementation of instructions and the preparation of necessary documents will be carried out.
