At the meeting of the Council of Judges held on January 22, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, Mederbek Satiev, made important statements, the press service of the Council of Judges reports.
Satiev emphasized that the Supreme Court and the Council of Judges have equal constitutional status and share joint responsibilities for the state of the judicial system. He highlighted that for both structures to function effectively, established interaction is necessary, as many key issues—from budgeting and infrastructure aspects to disciplinary practices and the assessment of judges' performance—require coordinated decisions.

Furthermore, the head of the Supreme Court noted the significance of the State Target Program "Development of the Justice System of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2023–2026." He also announced that the draft program for the development of justice for 2027–2030 is already available on the Supreme Court's website for discussion by the professional community and the general public.

During the meeting, the issue of staffing was also discussed. Satiev pointed out the high turnover of court staff as a serious problem, and it was announced that a decision has been made to increase their salaries, expected to take place this year.
