Working Kyrgyzstani people spend a third of their day on paid labor
The study conducted by the National Statistical Committee, titled "Time Budget Survey," demonstrates how employment affects the distribution of time among the population.
According to the data from the study, men and women who work spend approximately one-third of their daily time on paid work in various sectors, including public and private institutions, farms, and the business sector.
The free time of the working population ranges from 7 to 14 percent, while no more than 15 percent of time is spent on household chores.
Unemployed individuals have the opportunity to almost double their free time and devote more attention to studying, household tasks, and personal care.
It is noted that women face a lack of time for work not due to unwillingness to work, but because of the significant burden associated with managing the household, raising children, and caring for elderly family members. This results in them having insufficient time even to meet their own needs.
Overall, men in the country spend more time working than women, which confirms their status as the primary breadwinners in families, according to the study's data.
