In Bishkek, over 51 thousand households are connected to gas – Ministry of Natural Resources
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that over 51,000 households in Bishkek have gained access to natural gas.
This has been made possible through a subsidized loan program for the gasification of residential buildings.
We remind you that according to the resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated April 28, 2025, No. 349, citizens have access to subsidized loans for the gasification of homes up to 150,000 soms with an interest rate of 3% per annum, whereas previously it was 8%.
The Ministry also noted that thanks to this initiative, coal consumption in Bishkek has decreased by approximately 100,000 tons, which has positively impacted the environmental situation in the city.
