On January 23, 2026, an accident occurred on the 36th kilometer of the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway in the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Preliminary data indicates that the driver of a Hyundai Solaris lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree. As a result of the collision, one woman died, while two women and one girl sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity.
Rescuers from the district department No. 4 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene, where they extracted the victims and the body of the deceased from the vehicle, handing them over to an ambulance crew. Currently, the identities of the participants in the accident are being established, and all circumstances of the crash are being investigated.
