As reported by the Main Department of Road Safety, the complexes were installed as part of the "Safe Country" project. They operate on the basis of software developed by IT specialists of the state institution "Kyzmat" under the Presidential Administration.
Now, the Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek is fully under control. Additionally, complexes have been installed at the intersections of Akhunbaev - Toktonaliev and Mahatma Gandhi - Bayalinov streets.
The hardware and software complexes record the following violations:
- failure to use seat belts;
- driving in the opposite lane;
- speeding;
- running a red light;
- disregarding road signs and markings.
