In the Jalal-Abad region, in the city of Manas, there are difficulties with the operation of bus transport due to a gas shortage. The Region TV channel reports on this situation.

As a temporary measure, route taxis that were previously excluded from service have returned to the routes.

One of the minibus drivers mentioned that they resumed work 4-5 days ago after receiving notification that this measure is temporary.

Avtandil Maksutov, the manager of the municipal bus depot, explained that the cause of the problem is the gas deficit in Uzbekistan.

“Previously, we received gas from the neighboring country, but currently, there is also a shortage there, which has led to a decrease in supplies to Kyrgyzstan. We are unable to refuel the buses with methane: we can only refuel 5-6 buses a day. Refueling with propane is not suitable for these buses,” noted Avtandil Maksutov.

According to the TV channel, although some buses continue to operate, their number has significantly decreased. If earlier about 15 buses used to run daily in the city, now their number has diminished.
