Eduard Kubatov: Over the past five years, Kyrgyzstan's economy has tripled
In the podcast of the "Kabar" agency, Eduard Kubatov, president of the Federation of Mountaineering of Kyrgyzstan, reported a significant growth in the country's economy, which has tripled over the past five years.
He noted that such results were made possible due to the personal responsibility and persistence of the president.
“Today, we can confidently say that a new era is beginning in Kyrgyzstan. The economy has increased threefold in the last five years. The snow leopard has become a symbol of our country, and foreign experts are already calling this growth the 'snow leopard leap.' This achievement is not only for Kyrgyzstan but for all of Central Asia,” emphasized Kubatov.
He also noted that the structure of government spending has undergone significant changes. “Previously, budget funds were barely enough to pay salaries and pensions, but now they are directed towards the development of the country. Now, when we travel abroad, Kyrgyzstan is spoken of with respect. Previously, we envied the successes of other countries. However, it should be noted that out of the last five years, two years (2021–2022) were spent on political processes, constitutional reform, and resolving border issues. Real work on the economy began only in the last three years, but even in this short period, we have achieved impressive results,” he added.
