In the ministry, it was reminded that according to paragraph 6 of part 6 of article 6 of the Law "On Road Transport," the use of right-hand drive vehicles for commercial transportation of passengers, luggage, and cargo is strictly prohibited.
This rule came into effect on January 1, 2020, when amendments were made to the legislation. Furthermore, the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety clarified that this ban was in place even before the licensing of taxi services was introduced.

Almost 60% of all accidents were caused by drivers of such vehicles.
The Main Department for Road Traffic Safety reminds citizens of the necessity to comply with legislative norms and confirms that licenses for right-hand drive vehicles to engage in taxi services will not be issued.
