Union funds are directed towards the construction of wellness facilities
During a press conference held at the "Kabar" agency, the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Jumadilde uulu, announced that the sectoral committees of education, after the abolition of regional structures, were able to significantly reduce expenses and save substantial funds in 2024-2025.
He noted that currently, membership fees amount to one percent of the salaries of union members. Of this amount, approximately 70% remains at the level of the primary organization, while 30% is allocated to the needs of the sectoral committee. As a result, for the first time in the last 35 years, the sectoral committee of education has begun the construction of health facilities for its members, allocating about 55 million soms for this purpose, fully formed from membership fees.
In addition, in 2025, the sectoral committee of health will launch a project to build a health facility for 40 people with a total budget of 17 million soms.
“Although this amount may seem insignificant, I would like to note that in 2025, the sectoral committee of health collected about 22 million soms thanks to the 30% membership fees. We plan that in 2026, after the liquidation of regional committees and the simplification of the structure, we will be able to collect approximately 40 million soms, which will also be directed towards the construction of new facilities,” he added.
Muradil Jumadilde uulu also emphasized that in the process of digitalization, all union members can now seek assistance online via the short number 2029.
“We set ourselves two main tasks: a complete inventory of union members and digitalization, as well as the organization of issues related to property,” he concluded.
