According to the residents, "We are catastrophically short of buses. Every day we face the same problems: first, we have to wait, and then squeeze ourselves into an overcrowded bus to get to the right place. We need at least one additional bus route, for example, along route No. 6. While adults can somehow manage, it is very difficult for children. We appeal to the city authorities to pay attention to our situation."
Response from the City Administration
The Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" reported that they are working on increasing the number of additional trips.“At the specified stop, routes No. 6, 227, 61, 222, 169, 15, 36, and 103 are in operation. The average interval between buses is 8-10 minutes. However, due to narrow streets and traffic jams, this interval may increase in some cases,” noted the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport."
In addition, municipal representatives emphasized that the issue is under the control of the management and that work to improve the accessibility of public transport will continue.
