The poachers were discovered thanks to a thermal imager, which detected movement in the coastal area. After that, the response team quickly headed to the scene and managed to detain the violators before they could set up their nets.

As established by law enforcement, the detainees were two men: 39-year-old M.K. from the Ak-Suu district and 38-year-old D.T. from the Tyup district. They had two synthetic fishing nets and an inflatable boat confiscated from them.
An investigative check is currently being conducted regarding this incident. Law enforcement agencies emphasize that illegal fishing poses a serious threat to the region's ecosystem and will be suppressed with particular severity.
