The premiere of Temir Birnazarov's film "Tutkun" will take place in Bishkek.
The film was produced by the National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm" named after T. Okiev.
The plot unfolds against the backdrop of the events of the Great Patriotic War, when a Kyrgyz soldier finds himself captured by German troops. In the camp, he meets a nurse named Greta, and a relationship develops between them, resulting in the creation of a family. After the war, the couple begins a new life in the German village of Rosenberg. The main character, suffering from nostalgia for his homeland, sends letters to his loved ones in Kyrgyzstan every year, but remains unanswered for a long time. After 43 years, he receives an unexpected letter stating that he is considered a traitor and that no one is waiting for him back home. This news hits him hard; however, it later turns out that the letter was fabricated by the KGB.
According to the organizers, "Tutkun" is a dramatic work that deeply explores important themes such as love for one's homeland, human destinies, historical injustice, and spiritual tragedies.
The premiere of the film is timed to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and is part of the events implemented under the Plan for the Concept of Spiritual and Moral Development of the Individual and Physical Education for 2022-2026.
