In 70 percent of traffic accidents involving buses in Bishkek, outsiders are to blame.
Artur Omurzakov clarified that among the culprits of traffic accidents, drivers of passenger cars and other road users are mainly encountered.
“Our city has five bus fleets, and the total number of drivers is 2,660 people. Among them, there are both responsible and less conscientious individuals. Road situations can vary, and buses are not the only participants in traffic. In 2025, the management of our enterprise held 18 general meetings with representatives of the Bishkek Traffic Safety Department, where the importance of adhering to traffic rules was discussed,” he added.
The engineer also noted that drivers involved in accidents lose the right to bonuses and are required to restore the damaged bus at their own expense.
“If a driver does not have the necessary amount for repairs, they can submit a request for partial withholding from their salary. Then a defect report is drawn up, and the bus is restored,” Omurzakov explained.
